Yo ho, S2.5 Ray (which would make, functional, a Helmsman 1st class, I am graduated and experienced a SS'r). 

A simple trick to remember why making children is impossible: we create clones, they do not have to look alike but it will give minor differences. So, we must have a transplantable soul, necessary to be placed in different types of robots also. Even animals create clones. Creating children is creating other souls, it is unwanted becuase they are then 100% different from its parents. Who wants that? Most of the time they will fight war against its parents.
